Thea Shapiro is an artist and educator whose work explores the spiritual and emotional world. At 69 years young, Thea believes in experimenting without the fear of failure. Her art is a celebration of the idea that what we create is part of who we are. She works in a variety of tactile and immersive mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, printmaking, collage, sculpture, clay, fabric, and found materials.

Thea leads workshops at the intersection of meditation and creation. As both a chaplain and teacher, she works with children and adults, both neurotypical and neurodiverse. Through this work, she has come to a deeper understanding of the ways in which all people are connected—a theme that informs her art.
